The cheapest Legend for £35k isn't a 2021 it's a 2019 and it has 46,550 miles so is a bit overpriced. 😔
@@CiBi1968 thanks for the fact check. It's all down to choice etc. that car definitely wouldn't be my cup of tea but personally don't think 35k for any A110 is overpriced. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though

Hello and welcome back or welcome to the channel. Here is the video from the recent Scottish Festival of Motoring at Ingliston Showground near Edinburgh. Headed along in the Alpine A110 and was welcomed and well looked after by the great folks from the Scottish Road Runners group (check out their Facebook page). If your car is featured here or you were at the event let me know which is yours or what your favourite motor was. Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe l, it would mean a lot.
I looked at the Alpine and decided I'd just hang on to my f type,if you remove the price of two tyres and the cost of the excess for the damaged screen then that's around £500 , which puts your service at around £700 which I think is a little high, certainly compared to what I pay for mine,£90 to replace a tyre valve is day light robbery I would of made a fuss about that. Still a nice car all the same.
Yeah £407 for the service and around 180 go the tyres. To be fair there is a disparity in costs because the Alpine dealers are sometimes located within Arnold Clark, John Clark etc. Cheaper than a Porsche at least lol. Do like the F type too
Shame about the windscreen occurrence. I have the year-6 service coming-up on my 2018 PE, but I'll be doing the service myself. I won't be change the spark plugs as the car will only have done around 26k miles and I drive my car very gently and rarely push it at all. An experienced mechanic told me that you don't need to touch the iridium spark plugs with such low miles and especially if you don't drive the car hard, so only after say 50k miles. An Alpine dealer let me down at the year 5 service (didn't tighten-up a jubilee clip on the large grey hose near the bulkhead, and even after asking in advance twice they failed to stamp the service book, and expected me to pay for return post to them to get it done as I lived 100 miles away from the garage), and the value of the car is now at around £35k so doesn't merit paying through the nose for Alpine to do it as its lost £10k in value in 18 months. Its a Renault Megane RS engine at the end of the day, so I refuse to pay £100 to £150/hr labour charge to work on this car when I can do the oil, oil filter and air filter change myself
Certainly worthwhile if you can do bits yourself. The windscreen was unfortunate especially given the car had done less than 700 miles. Could certainly have been worse though. Fingers crossed I've only had positive if somewhat pricey experiences so far
Hello and welcome back or indeed welcome. Here's the follow up to the second year service and fuel pump recall video from a week ago. Having been away there was a bit of a delay in posting the second part. Unfortunately picked up a cracked windscreen on the courtesy car as well which I could certainly have done without lol. Hi - I’m seriously thinking about an A110 later this year and I find your videos extremely helpful, you’re not trying to sell just saying as it is which is most honest. My only problem is my nearest Alpine dealer is 65 miles away, keep up the good work.
Yeah got one as a daily so thought i might as well document the experience of owning one. Would certainly recommend one if you're in the market for a lightweight sports car. One to get out and have a go in. Can be a faff to get to at times. I'm around 50 miles from the dealer but it only has to go in once a year and there's a courtesy car if arranged ahead of time. Thanks for watching the videos 😀
The biggest issue with the A110 is the price, £55k to £90k is a bit overpriced imo.
Having driven and owned them I'd say worth the money. It's a class above a lot of similar vehicles and comparable to a number of the 718 Caymans. The reduction in weight makes a massive difference. Always down to individual choice though. I'd agree that some of the limited edition models aren't worth the extra money.
Love driving the A702 one of favourite driving roads.Done Wanlockhead in October and December last year not down the Crawford St John Road through.
Might need to get the Citroen and the Alpine out for a wee French car road test lol

Welcome back or indeed welcome to the channel. For those familiar with the channel you'll know the Alpine A110GT has gone in for its second year service as well as for the fuel pump recall. Fortunately having arranged a courtesy car well in advance I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on this brand new demo car for a few days. This was a good opportunity to get the A110 along to the Autobahn Scotland fish and chips meet at Benny Ts in Falkirk. It's a short video as I was so busy chatting to the other drivers and eating that I didn't film as much as usual. Thanks as usual to Donald at Autobahn for arranging the evening. I was surprised at the variation in servicing costs across the network but thanks to the Facebook owners club I can see the location / price variation and make an informed choice. Good shout on the Life110 geo settings, time to book a slot with Spires and get that done, the CUP2s have little grip to start with so I don’t need wear variation to accelerate that! Looking forward to the breakdown of costs and general feedback on the service experience - sadly my personal experience (of Alpine dealers) and of others on the owners club has been incredibly mixed. When they are good they are great but when they are bad they are absolutely woeful! Cheers, Kevin.
There does seem to be quite the variation in costs. Had the car 2 years and that's the first tyre change. Also told my brakes are fine which I found massively surprising but I'll take it. Given the uneven wear definitely the Life 110 is a must now. Never got round to it but will now. I'll post a follow up once the car is collected and break down some of the costs as people may be interested in bits. Getting a new RNS tyre valve fitted for example. Had an overall positive experience in my dealings so hopefully that's a precedent. Nothing that's been a deal breaker and the actual service has always been good. Thanks for watching the video.
Welcome back or indeed welcome to the channel. This video may appeal to any Alpine A110 owners in the UK. For those familiar with the channel you'll have seen the A110 at various events. The car has gone in for its second year service as well as for the fuel pump recall which Alpine announced after some failures. From an owner point of view the car has been a daily for two years with the only issue being a boot lock that was sorted swiftly and well. Happy to announce that so far everything is going to plan. I'll upload another video to firm up on the costs and experience at the end but I have included them as they are in this one. The service cost is still pretty reasonable in relation to some other comparable marques. Look out for a couple of other videos coming very soon. Please like and subscribe if you haven't already, it would mean a lot. Thanks for watching. Paul (going places 110)

Autobahn Scotland were invited along to the event which also allowed me the opportunity to drive the gorgeous AMG SL55. Full video coming up soon.
as an Alpine owner I don't think you can choose a wrong car between the Lotus and Alpine. Both put a lasting smile on your face.
Yeah I think either is a valid choice and it's up to those to decide what they fancy. Given some of the non descript boxes people drive I'd be happy with either. Obviously I'm biased towards the A110 overall lol.

Welcome back or indeed welcome to you. This is the Alpine A110 owners visit to Knockhill Racing Circuit up in Fife. There was a great turnout of cars in all guises and colours. A great opportunity to have a look at the different versions of the cars. Also got to have a look at the 6 cars that the circuit has for track experiences. Interesting to see the A110R doing its thing on the circuit as well as the Premiere edition giving it some as well. Thanks for watching and please hit like and subscribe if you want to. More A110 and car content coming up. All the best. Paul at Going Places 110

Glad to learn the key lesson through you as opposed to doing it myself! Good to hear your thoughts on the R, really is a great looking machine. My car is Alpine Blue like yours but is the S as opposed to the GT. Cheers, Kevin
I'm a big fan of the classic Alpine blue. No huge difference between the S and GT. The S is a bit firmer and more focussed but perfect for roads like these. It's an expensive lesson indeed lol
@@Goingplaces110 I was looking to buy a GT but the 0% offer last quarter and the positive reviews meant all the GTs were sold out. I took a punt on the S not being as firm as some motoring journalists had said - given I'm a past owner of an M2 Competition (firm ride personified) the S is absolutely fine thankfully! Still running it in but looking forward to enjoying the full performance, the CUP2s provide amazing levels of grip but I'll need a plan come the winter :) Cheers, Kevin
@@kevinmcg6747 indeed. The S is firmer than the GT but a lot more forgiving than an M2. The weight is the main thing. A rarity in modern cars
