Hello and welcome back or indeed welcome to the channel if you're new here. This is the video of the Scottish Borders, Jedburgh Abbey Cars and Coffee meet run by Borders Drivers Club. There was a great collection of cars here today from Corvette, Alpine and Lotus Sports cars, some modern classics like the MK1 Golf, V6 Calibra and Holden Monaro. Lots of representation from Peugeot Alfa Romeo Jaguar BMW Volkswagen Mercedes and many more. Took a run up to the border in the A110 for some photos at the end. Had a really good time chatting with some of the owners and drivers. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks to you for taking the time to watch this.

We were really well looked after but the folks from Arnold Clark, Glasgow and John Clark, Aberdeen and enjoyed the Bangin Pizza lunch too. The day was the first in person look at the new Alpine A290 which was it's first Scotland visit since being shown at Goodwood. Also got a look at the A524 F1 car which is a lot bigger than you might think. The video also has 4 laps in the excellent A110R. The cheapest Legend for £35k isn't a 2021 it's a 2019 and it has 46,550 miles so is a bit overpriced. 😔

Headed along in the Alpine A110 and was welcomed and well looked after by the great folks from the Scottish Road Runners group (check out their Facebook page). I looked at the Alpine and decided I'd just hang on to my f type,if you remove the price of two tyres and the cost of the excess for the damaged screen then that's around £500 , which puts your service at around £700 which I think is a little high, certainly compared to what I pay for mine,£90 to replace a tyre valve is day light robbery I would of made a fuss about that. Still a nice car all the same.

Shame about the windscreen occurrence. I have the year-6 service coming-up on my 2018 PE, but I'll be doing the service myself. I won't be change the spark plugs as the car will only have done around 26k miles and I drive my car very gently and rarely push it at all. An experienced mechanic told me that you don't need to touch the iridium spark plugs with such low miles and especially if you don't drive the car hard, so only after say 50k miles. An Alpine dealer let me down at the year 5 service (didn't tighten-up a jubilee clip on the large grey hose near the bulkhead, and even after asking in advance twice they failed to stamp the service book, and expected me to pay for return post to them to get it done as I lived 100 miles away from the garage), and the value of the car is now at around £35k so doesn't merit paying through the nose for Alpine to do it as its lost £10k in value in 18 months. Its a Renault Megane RS engine at the end of the day, so I refuse to pay £100 to £150/hr labour charge to work on this car when I can do the oil, oil filter and air filter change myself

Having been away there was a bit of a delay in posting the second part. Unfortunately picked up a cracked windscreen on the courtesy car as well which I could certainly have done without lol. Wanted to post a video giving an idea of some of the costs involved but have to say the overall experience has been a good one from a customer service perspective. Hi - I’m seriously thinking about an A110 later this year and I find your videos extremely helpful, you’re not trying to sell just saying as it is which is most honest. My only problem is my nearest Alpine dealer is 65 miles away, keep up the good work.

The biggest issue with the A110 is the price, £55k to £90k is a bit overpriced imo.

Love driving the A702 one of favourite driving roads.Done Wanlockhead in October and December last year not down the Crawford St John Road through.

Have to say i had never heard of Balmaha before but looks like a place i need to visit. The scenary is breathtaking.

A brilliant video as always, I really enjoy the Flat Out Scotland Events...Already Booked into their Horsepower Festival in Cowdenbeath in August but now I have the choice of Cactus 🌵 or new incoming fleet member??

Welcome back or indeed welcome to the channel. For those familiar with the channel you'll know the Alpine A110GT has gone in for its second year service as well as for the fuel pump recall. Fortunately having arranged a courtesy car well in advance I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on this brand new demo car for a few days. This was a good opportunity to get the A110 along to the Autobahn Scotland fish and chips meet at Benny Ts in Falkirk. It's a short video as I was so busy chatting to the other drivers and eating that I didn't film as much as usual. Thanks as usual to Donald at Autobahn for arranging the evening. I was surprised at the variation in servicing costs across the network but thanks to the Facebook owners club I can see the location / price variation and make an informed choice. Good shout on the Life110 geo settings, time to book a slot with Spires and get that done, the CUP2s have little grip to start with so I don’t need wear variation to accelerate that! Looking forward to the breakdown of costs and general feedback on the service experience - sadly my personal experience (of Alpine dealers) and of others on the owners club has been incredibly mixed. When they are good they are great but when they are bad they are absolutely woeful! Cheers, Kevin.

Welcome back or indeed welcome to the channel. This video may appeal to any Alpine A110 owners in the UK. For those familiar with the channel you'll have seen the A110 at various events. The car has gone in for its second year service as well as for the fuel pump recall which Alpine announced after some failures. From an owner point of view the car has been a daily for two years with the only issue being a boot lock that was sorted swiftly and well. Happy to announce that so far everything is going to plan. I'll upload another video to firm up on the costs and experience at the end but I have included them as they are in this one. The service cost is still pretty reasonable in relation to some other comparable marques. Look out for a couple of other videos coming very soon. Had the Alpine A110 up on show and there was a real variety of cars to enjoy. Well represented were Ford with the ST owners club and Ford owners clubs among many. I was surprised at the variety and the time and effort that went in. Also well represented was Saab with some cracking motors. Ran into Davy from ‎@scottishcarenthusiastsandtrainstv so if you're not subscribed then sign up. Great little review, i like the fact you get physical buttons instead of being intergrated into a touch screen. Never realised these were only a 1.8

Sure I stayed at a little B&B not far from this caravan park a few years back. Crail is Lovely, a lovely little harbour.

It’s a nice run south from Jedburgh on the A 68 I’ve done it to ponteland thanks greetings from south Lanarkshire

Autobahn Scotland were invited along to the event to watch the race on the set up in the showroom. As part of the day I was able to get my hands on the near 470 horsepower soft top convertible Mercedes SL55. Was interesting to compare it to the Alpine A110. Glad to learn the key lesson through you as opposed to doing it myself! Good to hear your thoughts on the R, really is a great looking machine. My car is Alpine Blue like yours but is the S as opposed to the GT. Cheers, Kevin
